LUDHAM RECEIVES FIRST GRANT FROM BROADS & RIVERS COMMUNITY CHEST!

Ludham Community Archive Group is the first organisation to receive a grant from the Broads & Rivers LEADER+ Community Chest. The Community Archive Group has successfully bid for £2,250 towards a project that involves researching the history of the parish and collecting local peoples' memories.

The group will store all this information on tape and use it to publish books and booklets as well as selling CDs, DVDs and video tapes. The project also involves giving illustrated talks and history walks around the village. The aim is to attract new audiences as well as local people to their events.

Margaret Watts, who led the successful bid, said, "We're very pleased the Community Chest is able to support us. Eventually, the project will produce its own income, so that we can develop in these and other directions."
